China's ceramic tile exports fell 5.51% to $1.43 billion in the first half of 2026, while imports collapsed 35.45% to $31.64 million, according to China Customs data.
According to China Customs statistics, in June 2026 China's total import and export value of ceramic tiles reached $215 million, a year-on-year decrease of 20.99%. Exports accounted for $210 million, down 20.99% year on year, while imports stood at $4.24 million, down 20.82%. 1. Ceramic tile exports In June 2026, China's ceramic tile export value reached $210 million, a year-on-year decrease of 20.99%. Export volume was 44.31 million square metres, down 3.46% year on year. The average export price was $0.26 per kg and $4.75 per square metre. 2. Cumulative exports From January to June this year, China's total ceramic tile exports amounted to $1.43 billion, a decrease of 5.51% compared with the same period last year. 3. Top 20 destination markets In June 2026, the top ten destinations for Chinese ceramic tile exports were the Philippines, South Korea, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, Japan and Kazakhstan. Among the top 20 markets by export value, only Kazakhstan, Kenya, Russia, North Korea and Chile recorded growth, with year-on-year increases of 32.88%, 0.63%, 34.13%, 23.66% and 39.08% respectively. All other markets posted significant declines. 4. Imports by category In June 2026, China's ceramic tile import value was $4.24 million, a year-on-year decrease of 20.82%. Import volume reached 140,200 square metres, down 12.82% year on year, at an average price of $2.01 per kg and $30.26 per square metre. Of that total, large slabs and porcelain slabs accounted for 119,600 square metres worth $3.71 million, at an average price of $2.06 per kg and $31.06 per square metre. 5. Cumulative imports From January to June this year, China's total ceramic tile imports amounted to $31.64 million, a decrease of 35.45% compared with the same period last year. In June 2026, the top three origin countries were Italy, Spain and Russia. Imports from Spain rose 23.60% year on year and imports from Russia surged 15,659.18%, while imports from Italy fell 29.66%.
