Mohawk Industries has announced that Paul De Cock, currently President and COO, will become CEO on September 30, 2026, succeeding Jeffrey Lorberbaum, who will remain chairman of the board.
On June 11, 2026, Mohawk Industries Inc. (NYSE: MHK) announced that Paul De Cock, the current President and COO, will step into the role of CEO and join the board of directors, effective September 30, 2026. He will succeed Jeffrey Lorberbaum, who is retiring as CEO while remaining chairman of the board.
The transition marks a significant change for the company, which Lorberbaum has led since 2001. During his tenure, Mohawk has grown into one of the world's leading flooring manufacturers, with a portfolio spanning carpets, rugs, ceramic and porcelain tiles, natural stone and luxury vinyl tile.
Paul De Cock joined the company through the 2005 acquisition of Belgian flooring group Unilin, and has since held a series of leadership positions across regions and product segments. His appointment is expected to bring a fresh strategic perspective as Mohawk navigates an evolving global flooring market.
Mohawk operates in the Consumer Cyclical sector and generates a major share of revenue through its Global Ceramic segment, which designs and manufactures ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tile for residential and commercial channels worldwide. The company currently has a market capitalization of approximately $6.8 billion and trades at a P/E ratio of 16.42.
